Winter Break

For winter break, I am going to stay home and have lots of fun. We might go outside Virginia but we’re not sure. I can’t wait for the start of a fresh 2016 year. I will have so many playdates and go outside to D.C and do stuff there. I can’t wait till the end of break because it’s my sister’s 4th birthday. I really hope that snow starts to fall during Christmas eve or before. I really wish that it would be a great start of 3rd and end of 2nd quarter.

Reading reflection

From reading Fish in a Tree, I think that Ally is trying to understand the world around her. By  hearing stuff from the classmates, I think that a lot of people want to be her friends. But some are always acting rude like Shay and Jessica. In my opinion,  I think Mr. Daniels is a great teacher but sometimes, he gives Ally too much space to be the way she always was.  I think he is a great teacher because he helps Ally to find her negative spots and the thing that surprised me while reading the book was when he knew the problem that Ally had which is affecting her. Last, I find this book very amusing and since this is a story that happened to the author, it is simple that this book is real-life based.

An Open Letter to My Family

Dear Family,

I am Akshay and I would like to thank you for all of the support and hard work that you put on me. It is a honor of having a family. I researched about family and it says that kids that don’t have parents and family have gone in some much pain and trouble. I feel depressed about the orphan’s life. But still, I am proud to have such a great family. I want everyone including you to know that how much family is important.

Family is what makes you, well, you. They help you from a baby till they die. For example, one day in second grade, I was in a science fair. I was chosen to do a project called How to build a bridge. I used balsa wood, basswood, knife, and string. It was hard because it involved pins and knives to cut the wood and I was scared that I will fail. Then, my family helped me to build mini versions of bridges that I was going to talk about. My family helped me to practice what I was going to say to for the fair. On the day of the fair, my family’s hard work and helping me made me win first place.

From this event, I realized that family is something that you always need.  They are clouds that can never move nor disintegrate. They are always there when bad or good things happen. Family is family. They are human chains that can never break apart.

With lots of love,

            Akshay
